AND I RODE LIKE THE FRICKIN' WIND
I got the energy up to take a bike ride. I probably rode no more than 2 miles, but it was heaven. My head is dizzy, my legs are jelly & my lungs broke up a bunch of stagnant tar and shit I've sucked into them over the years. This is a high. I hope to do this at least 3 nights a week.

The first air-conditioned automobile, a Packard, was engineered in 1938. The first successful window air conditioner was marketed in 1938 by Philco-York. Mass production of window air conditioners after World War II lowered costs to the point where they were accessible to mass consumers, as were refrigerators. I PULLED A SARA
My good friend John tells me that his wife Sara has an especially good time with telemarketers. I just used her guilty method of hanging on the phone until the point of purchase, to only burn them.
I just got home and had a phone call from a window installer. Offering me $500 off my entire bill if I were to redo all my home's windows. We talked about how bad moisture is for original framed windows, we talked at length about the number of rooms I would redo and talked about if my current windows were the originals or not. When asked if I'd consider replacing at this time, I told the lady, "I'm sorry I rent."
I don't feel bad.

12 DAYS TO 30
I turn 30 on April 26. I was told once by an old friend, Joe Mauch (I believe) , that when you 30 ... that's where your body will be for the rest of your life. From other friends that have turned before me, they've told me that it just flat out gets more difficult to dial the scale back.
I guess that's why I've been so hyper-critical about my weight.
GOAL: 12 DAYS = 12 POUNDS Which will leave me at 240 (the weight I graduated High School at).
12 DAYS ... HARD CORE!

"I ONLY SMOKE WHEN I DRINK"
NEW YORK (AP) A bouncer at a Manhattan nightclub died Sunday after he was stabbed in a brawl that police said began when he tried to enforce the city's new ban on smoking in bars and restaurants. -- more I quit smoking in November. From my personal experience, it took quite a while. In fact, I still consider myself a smoker. though it's been almost 6 months since my quit date, I still get that urge. It's like treatment for alcoholism ... you need to admit that you have that crutch.

CULTURE SHOCK
Early word on Rob Zombie's, "House of 1000 Corpses" is that it is dreadful (Discussion). Word is that, Zombie directed it like a music video but paid homage to Texas Chainsaw Masacre. Since I haven't seen it ... no comment. Though, this picture is worth a thousand thoughts:
