Tuesday, May 06, 2003 CONNECTION: WHOOPDESIGN.COM Kevin Barlow is a partner in the newly launched Whoop Design. Kevin is a graphic artist's graphic artist. My experience working with Kevin is unfortunatley limited. Our work experience was at MSN Sidewalk (later sold to CitySearch). Kevin led the Production Team at Twin Cities Sidewalk. At the time, I did not get it and felt very thrown the wolves in the business. As I move forward in my career, many elements of Kevin's work and organizational skills are in what I do. I look back and know I've learned much. Whoopdesign.com is a very clean site with complex flash features. Some of the Flash work is a little heavy for my taste. I like pages to drop quick! Though, that short wait is worth it. The spinning can on the secondary pages draws a user into a sense of urgency. I wouldn't want to see that can spin any faster or slower. Perfect! One of Kevin's partners in Whoop Design, Romeo Azar, designed spymob.com, which I've previously lauded. Kevin's work can be clean & complex.
