LOCAL MUSIC: JANIS FIGURE
 This in from Janis Figure:"Janis Figure update:
Last Thursday, May 29th, Janis Figure frontman Billy Bisson had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. They discovered that he had a broken blood vessel in his brain and was kept in Intensive Care for 2 days. He is expected to make a full recovery in a few months and will be on medication for 2 years. Therefore we are canceling the show this Saturday, June 7th, in the 7th Street Entry. We will get back out playing shows as soon as it is safe for Billy. Thanks for your support.

According to Konqueror's Mueller, however, there will still be a place for open-source and alternative browsers, and they will continue to be used. Internet Explorer is not compliant with W3C standards, he said, which is needed in projects that have to work on many platforms. Additionally, Internet Explorer has "blatantly huge security holes due to ActiveX scripting," Mueller pointed out. All this after I finally saw the light!

VITAL: SECTOR NINE SKATEBOARDS
 I've only had the briefest experience with skating the longboard. Though, from what I've done, I'm getting the buzz and taste of it. Thanks to Joel for hooking me up with a board and to Sara & John for pimping it out with bigger red wheels.
That brings us to Sector Nine Skateboards:from Sector9.com
"Manufactured with pride in the USA and using the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, we are producing what we believe are the best longboards on the market today." Thank goodness. This is what I'm riding and I couldn't feel prouder.
As for sector9.com, the site uses a splash page, which is ok for a brochure type site. Since, this is a very visual medium, I suppose that it's for the best that the users, Sector Nine's potential customers, sees people enjoying their products. The rest fo the site is a "frame-job" ... I can view frames so it doesn't make it that poor of a situation. Though, they are excluding their intention to frameless visitors. The colors on the site are variations of cool browns, greens & blues ... with a little black thrown in. Makes the pages very easy on the eyes.
On the whole, the site is easy to navigate. Many pages still bear, "coming soon". I think Sector Nine could benefit from a message board. Get more of a community feel. They are independant ... support 'em!

 After a hard day of skating and biking ... John, Sara and I unwinded and bought www.thrashingwiththegrinnells.com.
