 One thing that I've always found oddly interesting is the kangaroo scrotum pouch that always seems to be selling on eBay.
Interesting is the product, more interesting is they seem to be flying off the shelves.

National Hunger Awareness Day was created in early 2002, when a continuing downturn in the economy, subsequent massive lay-offs, and the events of September 11th had contributed to a significant increase in the number of Americans unable to feed their families. At the same time, hunger-relief organizations found that there was less food surplus and fewer charitable dollars available.
