KITTY STUFF: PLEASE WELCOME SUGAR POP LOLA
Well, that's the official unofficial name so far. Jaime and I picked up this beautiful little girl yesterday evening. Our intention was to pick her up Saturday afternoon after we finished moving into the new apartment, but we just couldn't wait.
I had an important meeting last night with JD and John so I did not have the opportunity to play with her as much as I would have liked. Though, when I got back home she was very friendly, extremely playful and quite chatty. SUGAR POP LOLA is part Siamese and who knows what. Her Siamese mix is what brings out her vocal chops. She's a talker for sure. This is a good one page snapshot of the Siamese breed.
Anyways, she's adorable (like a little teddy bear) and I can't wait until she meets Pippin who FINALLY COMES HOME TOMORROW!
We feel pretty good about Sugar Pop as a name, though we are open to suggestions. UPDATE - we are working on LOLA ---

BOOM FROM THE BYGONE: 1989 BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE
 I'm moving at the end of the week and while sorting through my stuff, I ran across a bunch of patches, pins and buttons from my years that I was involved in Boy Scouts. This brought forth a ton of old memories of the people I used to know and hang out with. Actually, I still maintain friendships with some of the people from my scouting past. Some of the best friends that I have were former (or still active) Scouts and Scouters (adult volunteers).
Though, the point of this post is two address two things:
1. The button in the pic to the right was a promotional button I received while attending the 1989 Boy Scout National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. This button must of come from an IBM booth set up. My brief research tells me this is the year that IBM started offering 1MB RAM in their machines. We've come a long way!
2. Yes, we've come a long way! Because I like to tie events and products with a personal opinion or slant ... I thought, I'd offer a picture of the 1989 Sinnissippi Council National Jamboree Troop that went to Fort A.P. REALITY TELEVISION: CHARLA FROM PARADISE HOTEL
St. Paul native, Charla, who won $250,000 on Fox's Reality Show Paradise Hotel, was a guest this morning on the 93X Half-Assed Morning Show. Charla came in to defend herself against recent criticsm that she's a low-down dirty bizzatch for not sharing the end prize with Keith ... DAVID.
Honestly, if you could keep that kind of money ... why would you share it if you didn't have to? Though I never saw but one episode, Charla does strike me as a good natured, down to earth kinda chick. She is avoiding the pressures to try and "make it in Hollywood" and as she has said, "I just want to be myself." Right on!

 Comedian Emo Philips was an in-studio guest today with the the KQ Morning Show ... all I gotta say is this guy is weird. Funny, somewhat ... weird, yes.
He's in town promoting the Minneapolis Acme Comedy Company 12 Year Gala at the State Theater, November 2.
Here's the "Internet Fun" and I'm using the term loosely, on his Web site (caution: Flash), in the upper right corner is the Random Emo Logic button. Click it for random Emo one-liners. Though I haven't kept up on wrestling in recent years, I always like The Road Warriors or Legion of Doom (which ever they had called themselves at the anytime). Hawk and Animal were probably the best built wrestlers. Most wrestlers have this glazed over steroid heaps of muscles. These guys were massive.
Not to mention the fierce looking face paint and G.W.A.R-esque looking dress that they wore. These guys were tough ... they looked it, wrestled it and acted it.
