Now I feel like the 14 year old teen girl blogger who records every moment of their life on their blog. THOUGH, I can tie it back to previous posts.

I just spilled coffee all over my desk and because the kitchen is on the other side of the building from me, I grabbed my Anal Blast t-shirt and wiped it up.

REALITY TELEVISION: THE SIMPLE LIFE DEBUT

Whoah. I am impressed. Just as impressed as I was when I saw the first episode of The Osbournes. It's a different type of "reality show" and that's what is good. No money is being won ... camera appealing talent ... a simple story line and tons of irony.

I've been reading some message board posts and the big debates have been "what color is Nicole Richie?" and "is this making fun of Arkansas people or rich girls out of place?"
1) Nicole Richie was adopted
2) It pokes at both extremes of American life, IMHO.

Trouble In Paradise
You must be in a coma if you haven't heard about the "Paris Hilton Video" that is swarming the Internet. You may not have heard or have forgotten about Nicole Richie's felony possesion of heroin. Seems as though, Richie was charged with the felony days before she hit the Ozarks.

To me, it seems as though a lot of the "bad press" ... sex video and all seem like subtle ploys to talk up the "new Hilton show" ... I really wasn't interested in the show until I stumbled across "the video" myself (thank you Captain). Good publicity, bad publicity ... it really all is publicity.

As far as the photo in the upper right, if you go to the The Simple Life Web site you can click on "Farm Goodies" and then "Dress up" and create suggestive photos as the one I created... ;)

Did you see it? Could you care less? Am I wrong? Spill it.

TCHOTCHKES: STUFF ON MY DESK 01

Merriam-Webster defines tchotchkes as a trinket. In the radio business "station tchotchkes" are the t-shirts, cups, key chains or other "trinkets" that are labeled by the station or client of the station and given away (typically for free) for the sole use of promoting that product or service.

In the far left corner of my office on the window sill, I have an odd assortment of tchotchkes. Some were given as gifts and others just floated into my possession.

1) Whoop Ass Energy Drink - Made by Jones Soda and described as: "Old skool Japanese formula with our Jones attitude." - given as a gift.

2) Guinness St. Patrick's Day Toucan Toasting Glass - A limited edition glass passed out at bars in the U.S. to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2003. Pouring the perfect pint. - given as a gift.

3) Fuel Cafe Coffee Stout - Made by the Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this brew is "a marriage of two savory beverages, Lakefront Stout and Fuel Cafe blend Alterra coffee." - given as a gift.

4) Zone105 ceramic coffee mug - A true *station tchotchke*! This is for the defunct radio station out of Minneapolis. Given away at DJ appearances and other station functions.

5) Wild Mini-Hockey Stick - Promotional item from the Minnesota Wild with cross branding to 93X (Minneapolis Radio Station) and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

6) 92KQRS Red Plastic coffee mug - A true *station tchotchke*! This is for the classic rock station I work for. Handed out whereever KQ goes.

7) Mandolin - *NOT A TCHOTCHKE* - This just decorates the whole picture well. This is an antique double stringed Mandolin I was given from my brother-in-law via my uncle-in-law (I believe)... I have no history on it, it just looks really cool! It could use some work, needs cleaning... one day.

SITE STATS: WELCOME, TOGO!

I'm checking the stats to NOAHBLOG for November and I'm proud to welcome a reader from TOGO. I will also inform you, I'm never visiting TOGO.

Though the, "gently rolling savanna in north" sounds gorgeous, more digging in the CIA FACTBOOK ON TOGO reveals life expectancy of males: 51.47 years and females: 55.45 years .... as well as it's a transit hub for Nigerian heroin and cocaine traffickers ... in addition, the Togolese Republic has come under fire from international organizations for human rights abuses and is plagued by political unrest ... most likely due to Gen. Gnassingbe Eyadema unweilding control since the late 1960s.

GEEK PLAY: WEB FIRE ESCAPE!

I just got around to reading Blogger's: How Not to Get Fired Because of Your Blog article. Yah, I'm sure I'm swerving the pink slip daily around here.

The one good thing I got from it was the link to Web Fire Escape. It's this little button that you'll now see underneath my posts (until I get bored of it). Click it and you'll link to a Web site of your choice (or Google if you don't choose). This way, when your boss comes by and you are reading Noah Blog (why is the real question), you can quickly get away. Of course, your little HOME button should do the same thing.

POLITIX: "HATING"

I veer away from politics on my site, I realize the Web is full of rampant faceless opponents to my views, but sometimes I get infuriated enough to spout off. I think this is ridiculous.

Before I get too pissy about it, it's 1) a link from the drudgereport.com (which is sludgish sometimes - and perhaps not accurate) and 2) it is everyone's right to assemble.

My difference with that article is not in the right to assemble. It's the name of the event. Which makes me think of the countless unflattering photos (looking like a monkey, with the scratch on the face from the pretzel incident) that get spread around about the president, the political cartoonists, the umpteen million Web sites selling anti-president stickers, buttons and shirts.

It's important to have your political views. More important is to practice them, something I should do more of. Though, it's my opinion that some people cross the line using such words as HATE. Is your life really that bad to use that strong of word? Before anyone flies off the handle and posts comments, think about that.

I'm definitely at a disadvantage when it comes to political thinking. I work for the highest rated Morning Radio Show in America that happens to slant quite conservative. As my main source of news, I know I get a view of the world through their eyes. All I know is for the past 5 years (yes, that dips into a democratic presidential term), I've been getting back on my financial feet, had enough on hand cash and resources to get done what I need to and lived my life daily, pretty darn happy. I don't see myself hating anything or anyone right now. No need to get all sorts of "jacked up" over anything. Again, my opinion only.
